For this project I'm thinking of creating a web adventure that takes the viewer on a adventure in the mountains. I would like to have this take place on my home mountain of Mt. Tamalpais in California. I'd like the web-venture to take place here as growing up hiking and mountain biking all over the mountain, I had many great adventures involving injury, discovery, law enforcement, and good old fashioned fun. I think that the web adventure will start at the bottom of the mountain, with the desired destination being the summit. There will be a bunch of trails at a junction that you can start on, and I may even name them after real trails I rode on growing up. There will be a bunch of false trails that take you on different random journeys ending with getting caught by Rangers, getting hurt, eating poisonous mushrooms, or chilling out with some animals. These may just end abruptly or have a way to loop back to an earlier stage in the adventure and still reach the summit. I imagine I'll have the final destination involve arriving via mountain bike(which is my favorite way to get around the mountain) and then experiencing an amazing view or feeling of euphoria. The use of images with different clickable objects to choose the next stage, with GIFS used as the transitions between pages seems like the most appropriate way to structure the adventure. My hope as this web-venture creates an artificial feeling of adventure for the viewer.
